RHEINPFALZ
(Angl. Palatinate). An important wine-producing district on the left bank of the Rhine responsible for the production of the most luscious of Hocks. The best growths of the Palatinate are those of Diedesheim, Forst, Durkheim, Wachenheim and Ruppertsberg.
